How to book an Appointment with a psychologist
Booking an appointment is easy and can be arranged 24 hours a day 7 days a week using our online booking system. Alternatively, you can always call to arrange an appointment via phone.
You will receive a reminder 24-48 hours prior to your appointment, you must confirm your appointment.
If you don’t confirm your appointment, it may be cancelled.

MAKING AN APPOINTMENT WITH A PSYCHOLOGIST
Book an appointment at any time using the HotDoc Online Booking system. Simply click on the Green “See Available Appointment Times” on this page and find a time that suits you.

FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT BOOKINGS
- If you are in an emergency, always call 000
- While we are not an emergency service, if you do need a more urgent appointment, and one is not available online please call 1300 832 687. We will try to accommodate your needs. We can also add you to our waitlist.
- For video appointments we use the secure HotDoc video calls system. Video calls are made from your web browser and can be made from any internet connected device with a camera and microphone. - If you are paying for a telehealth appointment, you will be sent a link after the appointment. The link will take you to the secure Stripe payment system. If you would like more information about our payment system please see the Stripe Website
- You can make an in person appointment only by calling 1300 832 687, you cannot make in person appointments online.
- Psychology appointments usually last between 45 and 50 minutes

AFTER YOU HAVE MADE YOUR BOOKING
Once you book an appointment, you’ll receive reminders 24 and 48 hours before your appointment. Please confirm at least one of these reminders, otherwise your appointment may be cancelled and offered to someone on our waitlist.
If you are new to our clinic, you will also receive a link to fill out an online form, allowing you to provide us with more background information about your situation before your appointment.

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations is required
Less than 24 hours’ notice or not attending a confirmed appointment may result in you being charged for the session
Cost of Appointments
1. Self-Funded –
Where you pay for the appointment yourself
You will be charged $150 after the appointment.
If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, please email it before your session using the email address below, and you will be able to claim a Medicare rebate of approximately $95.
If you have Private Health Insurance, you can claim the cost of the session. Please check with your insurer for amounts and coverage.
2. Bulk Billed –
Where there is no out-of-pocket cost to you as Medicare fully funds the appointment
We Bulk Bill anyone with a Health Care Card Number or under 18.
You must send us a copy of your valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP before your first appointment. If this is not received, your appointment will be cancelled.
On completion of the appointment you will recieve a text confirming that we will be Bulk Billing the appointment.
There is no cost to you.
3. Insurance –
Where the session is wholly or partly covered by insurance, this includes Workcover, TAC insurance, NDIS, My Aged Care
If you have a Workcover or Transport Accident Commission (TAC) claim, please provide your claim number and a letter from your insurer confirming you are eligible to receive counselling sessions prior to your first session. There are no gap fees for these sessions and well will invoice them directly.
If you are an NDIS or My Aged Care recipient and you would like these funds to pay for your sessions, please provide your Provider’s name and Case Manager details prior to your first session.
