Interprofessional  Practice

In 2010, the World Health Organization emphasized the significance of health professionals collaborating through interprofessional practice. This approach involves medical and allied healthcare experts working together to deliver exceptional patient care by promptly identifying and addressing potential concerns.

What is Interprofessional Practice

Although interprofessional practice may seem like a logical and beneficial advancement in healthcare, it can be challenging to implement in practice. It can take various forms, such as team meetings involving all healthcare professionals or in-depth discussions with select members of the healthcare team, which go beyond the usual referral letter.
