Cost of Appointments

There are three ways in which appointments can be paid.

1. Self-Funded – Where you pay for the appointment yourself

2. Bulk Billed – Where there is no out-of-pocket cost to you as the appointment is funded by Medicare

3. Insurance – Where the session is wholly or partly covered by insurance, this includes Workcover, TAC insurance, NDIS, My Aged Care or Private Health insurance

Self-Funded

You can of course pay for a session yourself. After your session you will receive a text message from HotDoc with payment instructions, or you can pay by direct deposit. Online payments are made via the secure Stripe payment system. If you have a mental health care plan you may be eligible to claim back a Medicare rebate for psychology consultations. You must supply a current Mental Health Care Plan prior to your session. We will issue you with a receipt after recieving your  payment which you can then claim back on Medicare.

Bulk-Billing

Bulk Billing is only available for psychology appointments to holders of a Health Care Card together with a current Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. Please supply your Health Care Card number and Mental Health Care Plan prior to your appointment. We will then be able to process the cost of your appointment with Medicare on your behalf. Please note Medicare places a limit on the number of psychology appointments a person can receive each year.

Insurance

If you have private health insurance, you will need to pay for your appointment and then be issued with a receipt which you can then claim with your private health fund depending on your level of cover.

If you have Workcover, TAC, NDIS or My Agedcare then you will need to provide a letter from them stating that you are eligible for psychology sessions. We will then invoice your insurer or provider directly.
